Course Description

NT 102 is usually offered in the Spring semester each academic year. This course focuses primarily on the development of Early Christianity and provides an Introduction to the academic discipline of New Testament Studies, engaging the history, literature, and theology of the New Testament books. Attention will be given to the mission and message of Jesus, the formation of the gospel tradition, the Jewish and Hellenistic background of the early church, the life and letters of Paul, other New Testament writings, and the development of the canon. (3 credit hrs)
